Thank you, Darcy, for that very interesting piece I’m going to dwell on for hours. I’ve seen the « Sliding Door » movie you are referring to and loved the « Sliders » series. I’ve never experienced what you have though, just what I call the tiny changes in the matrix, objects changing colors or forms, people I remember dead, and the way they died, being still alive, what we call now the « Mandela effect ».
I’ve read a while ago that, according to quantum physics, all the choices available that lead us to take a path rather than another are indeed open in the ether, what we call parallel universes, but only the ones we make anchor in the physical world, are matter-ialized. Nevertheless, as the way we experience dreams or even imagined stories is as vivid as any real memory, parallel lives can feel as vivid as our physical ones and as real as if they had been physical too. Lots of love.
Oh yes the Mandela effect! I’ve experienced that as well. It’s so wild when you have certain memories, like people being dead, and finding out they’re still alive.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge on this subject. The world of quantum physics is fascinating! I haven’t seen the Sliders series but now I’m super curious about it 😊
I totally agree, quantum physics is fascinating and definitely taking us closer to who we truly are: multidimensional beings in a physical world of experimentation.
I had a dream where it was me in my early 30s, but my hairstyle was different, and I wore a different style of clothing. I worked at the same place in this version as I did at that time in my life. When I went to get a cup of coffee, I bumped into my handsome husband. There was so much love for him, yet I felt subservient to him. It felt like a real life. NOPE, not who I in this reality! And I never met that man.
Such a fascinating experience! I love that and I just read something this week that mentioned how our dreams can give us glimpses into parallel versions of ourselves. Thank you for reading and taking the time to share your experience. I appreciate you 🙏😊
I deeply resonate with what you've shared. I’ve had similar experiences during deep meditation and sleep, where I’ve seen past lives so vividly it felt like I was there. During astral travel, I’ve woken up standing in front of spirit receiving messages that later came true. Other times, I’ve found myself in a different version of me, in a completely different body, fully aware and awake, able to see, feel, touch, even check the time. It used to terrify me, especially when I once got stuck for what felt like two weeks, I thought my partner would come home and find I'd died in my sleep. When I did wake up, only 15 minutes had passed. Now, when it happens, I always ask, 'I’m here for a reason, what is it?' I’ve debated doing a post on this for a while because I know it can sound wild and if I have experienced this, surely others have too, there’s so much more going on than we can see. Thank you for posting this, it really helped me feel less alone in it all.
Wow Carla, that's amazing! I can see how that would feel terrifying. And it’s so interesting about the time frame of 15 minutes feeling like 2 weeks. That just kind of proves that linear time is not real and that everything happens in the now. Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to share your experiences 🙏 I’m so glad it resonated with you and helped you feel less alone in this. And I hope you do write a post about your experiences. It’s a fascinating topic and I’m sure you would help others make sense of their own experiences. And I would love to read it! 😊
Thank you Darcy. It really does show that time isn’t linear at all. Would you mind if I mentioned you and your post, when I get around to doing mine? I’d love to give credit where it’s due.
I worked as a prison volunteer, Director of Prison Chaplaincy— visiting the prison at least three times a week, and delivering communion service every Sunday.
I always felt anxious walking in. Nervous. A little scared, of course. But mostly convinced that the inmates could see into my soul—see me for the fraud I truly was.
I would sit in my car afterwards, stunned. “I’ve done many of the same things those men did. I just didn’t get caught.”
My life, as imperfect as it was, veered just a little—just enough, that they ended up here—and I didn’t.
Six years later, I took the wrong fork in the road.
Ended up where I always knew I belonged.
Was my volunteer work a subconscious effort to put my life on track?
Maybe.
If by “on track,” I mean where I should have been all along.
Fascinating reflection here, Darcy. Thank you. 🙏🏼
As a footnote… Is it just me, or are there an awful lot of Darcy’s in the chat? 💬🤫
That’s so interesting Paul! The part about feeling like the inmates could see into your soul gave me chills!
I think what you said about veering “just enough” is what these sliding door moments are all about. Sometimes we might be walking the edge of another timeline without fully crossing into it. But yet some part of us knows it's there. Thank you so much for reading and sharing your experience 🙏😊
And yes, there does seem to be an awful lot of Darcy’s in the chat 😂
You’re on the right path acknowledging all of this prescience. Please keep speaking of and eXploring it!
I’m glad you mentioned astrophysics. Over the last 4 months I’ve been working on a theory jumping off of Einstein’s ideas of space time that eXplain how and why there are multiple/parallel universes/realities/dimensions. Super eXciting stuff!
Also I have visual representations of parallel realities through fine art. Stay tuned to my Stack for more about it down the road.

Here's a link to the Sliders TV show wiki but I don't know if it's still available on streaming: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sliders_(TV_series).
I’m definitely going to see if it’s streaming anywhere. Thank you 😊

Mind blowing. Love your work Darcy. I need to lean into meditation more. Thank you.
Thank you so much Holly! 🙏😊
Great piece and a fun read, Darcy!

Thank you Xavier 🙏 Sounds like you’re up to some interesting stuff! I’ll definitely be waiting and looking forward to reading about it 😊
Correct, Darcy … always something interesting going on
