The new age took terms like sacred union and twin flame and ran with it... and it became a watered down teaching where many people are projecting these terms on toxic dynamics and normalizing the push and pull trauma bonding process basically. I just posted a note the other day showing how interesting it was that out of all my YouTube videos lately the one titled Sacred Union was the only one that got some downvotes.. because the video is all about how to establish a sacred union within yourself first and people didn't like hearing that I think..
I have noticed that as well…new age spirituality has made a mess out of this topic as well as manifestation. And you’re right…people hear the term Sacred Union and immediately think their twin flame is coming back. They would rather live in the fantasy of the twin flame connection than know the truth because the truth asks us to look inward and tgat can be uncomfortable.
I appreciate you taking the time to read and share your insights 🙏😊💖
I think it’s about awareness and the ability to recognize patterns as they emerge so we use them as opportunities for growth. Unfortunately there are some individuals in the spiritual community that put the twin flame label on certain relationship dynamics, which makes things feel even more confusing than they already were.
Thank you for reading and taking the time to share your experience Liz…I truly appreciate it 🙏💛
Incredibly well articulated 👏👏👏 This is a perfect example/opportunity for all of us to reflect back on our relationship experiences. Not about judging or pining but examining them under a compassionate lens of scrutiny with the end goal of understanding, closure and personal growth. 🙏
Thank you Henri! Thank you for reading and taking the time to share your thoughts 🙏
I love the way you said this…examining our relationships with compassion with the goal of understanding, closure and personal growth is beautiful…and so much more productive than criticizing ourselves 🙏💖
This is such a thoughtful distinction. I wrote my first book about my own twin flame experience, and for me the label eventually mattered less than what the connection forced me to face in myself.
In my work with women, this is the layer I keep naming: intensity is not proof of destiny. The real question is whether the connection brings you back to yourself or pulls you deeper into fantasy, longing, and self-abandonment.
My twin flame experience became the doorway from scientist to mystic — but only when I stopped making the story about him and let it become about what was ready to heal in me.
Oh I love this brilliant reflection on this ... beautiful Darcy!
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time read 🙏💖
The pleasure was mine Darcy. Love getting to know your work and soulful thoughts. 😌💛✨

Thank you for reading Jo-Ann 🙏😊
You’re welcome, Darcy✨
