Decades ago, I took this course. One of the exercises was that the students would hit certain points on another student’s body to bring up repressed emotions. Intense anger came up from me! I felt uncomfortable to release it in front of strangers. However, it felt like my body would burst if I didn’t, and screamed FU at the top of my lungs. What a relief! That was when I learned it took more effort to hold on to feelings than to release them.
